The plant in Pilsting is the youngest German production site of Nemak. Mid 2015 launched in the Lower Bavarian town in the area of Dingolfing-Landau, the production of shock towers and longitude members takes place here.
The casted blanks are shipped to Nemak in Pilsting and processed in a complex process so that they emerge as finished components the work. The finishted aluminum lightweight components contribute as innovative structural components essential for weight saving in that vehicle in which they are installed . We have approximately 100 employees in the Pilsting plant employed (as of December 31, 2015).
In Pilsting several production methods are used for machining of castings for shock towers and longitudinal members. In exactly successive clocked processes different types of production are in use: solution annealing, fully automated straightening, outsourcing, fully automated grinding, machining, washing and assembly. After mounting the coating and a final quality check is carried out, the components can be delivered directly to the assembly line of the Automobile Manufacturer.
