Products & Technologies
Innovative products, sustainable excellence

Windsor Aluminum Plant, a highly-automated casting manufacturing facility, was the first of its kind to launch the production of aluminum engine blocks derived from the Cosworth casting process.

In 1997, Windsor Aluminum Plant was the first foundry facility in North America to be accredited the ISO-14001 certification due to its leadership position in environment protection and policy.  Sand reclaiming is built into the production process to allow postproduction sand being reused in the material stream in the forming of new sand cores.

The Nemak Engineering Centre is part of Nemak’s Global Product Development Centers. It focuses on Research & Development, Product Development and Testing, small series prototypes and innovations in Casting Technology.  Since its beginning in 1988, the Nemak Engineering Centre has successfully developed over 50 high tech aluminum casting products. In addition, the Nemak Engineering Centre offers ISO 17025 certified testing services such as CMM, a full complement of mechanical and metallurgical testing as well as x-ray (digital radiography). Its non-destructive testing capabilities include Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Liquid Penetrant and Eddy Current technologies.
